Microgreens are harvested, baby plants. We love our Non-GMO microgreens because they can give us access to fresh, delicious, living, healthy produce all year long.
Microgreens are grown past the sprout stage to the cotyledon stage or to the true leaf stage, and rarely ever beyond that. Cotyledons are the first set of baby leaves, and true leaves are the second set of leaves, which will take on the shape that the full-grown plant will begin producing. Microgreens are not the same as babygreens, which are the next growth stage beyond microgreens.
Chances are you may have eaten microgreens and didn’t realize it. If you’ve never eaten microgreens, we challenge you to try them. They taste AMAZING and they are good for you.
